Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often about running iqava — setup, billing, data isolation and getting your data back out.

Getting started

What is iqava?
An ERP and CRM built for the insurance value chain — insurers, reinsurers, brokers and service providers. It runs underwriting, claims, finance, reinsurance and distribution in one workspace, at {slug}.iqava.com.
How long does it take to get running?
A workspace is created in a few minutes: choose your organisation type, name it and pick your address. The modules your edition includes are switched on at that point. Loading your existing book takes longer and depends on the state of your data.
Do I have to talk to a salesperson first?
No. Every plan except Enterprise can be started and paid for online. Enterprise is quoted because it involves things that cannot be priced from a page — data migration, a private deployment, bespoke integrations.

Pricing and billing

What happens after the free 14 days?
Nothing is charged automatically. The trial simply ends, and you choose a plan to carry on. Your data stays exactly as you left it while you decide.
What counts as an active policy?
A policy currently in force. Lapsed, cancelled and expired policies stay in the system, remain searchable and reportable, and do not count towards your limit.
Can I pay annually?
Yes. Paying annually charges ten months instead of twelve, so two months are free. The saving is shown against each plan on the pricing page.
What happens if a payment fails?
Nothing abrupt. The workspace keeps working through a grace period while we retry, and we email you. Losing access to your own book over an expired card would be the wrong response to a card expiring.

Data and security

Is my data separated from other customers'?
Yes. Every tenant-scoped table is protected by row-level security in the database itself, not only by application code, and the policy fails closed — a query without a tenant context returns nothing rather than everything.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Your records are exportable from the console, and you can request a full export at any time. Data you put in remains yours.
How do I close our workspace and delete our data?
Write to [email protected] from an admin address on the account. We confirm what will be deleted and what regulation obliges you to retain, take a final export for you, and then remove the workspace. See the account deletion page for the full procedure.
